The highlight of this month was our late August trip to the BWCA! Jim sister Lisa and her husband Bob came with us ~ their first trip ~ and I do believe they had a good time! We were glad they came along .... as we don't fish and they do! We had three fabulous fish meals while we were there! We saw a moose! Heard some wolves and loons. Enjoyed a lightening show one evening. Read a good book! (A Thousand Splendid Suns) Shared my GORP with a cute chubby mouse. (Had no choice, really. The little stinker!) Ate my favorite camp meal of Mac & Cheese with Spam. Spent the week watching a red squirrel eat the pine nuts out of the tree. The whole week. And he was a chattery little guy. Chewed us out if we (or any crows) were too close. And the morning we left was super foggy! Which was really cool! Well ... too cool. I couldn't feel my toes until the sun came out. (Yes, I was a whiner.) Enjoy our week in photos!
